Bravecto 1-Month Chew provides comprehensive monthly protection against the following external parasites:
Fleas: It treats and prevents Ctenocephalides felis and Ctenocephalides canis species of fleas and provides protection for 1 month.
Ticks: It treats and controls multiple types of ticks, including black-legged ticks, American dog ticks, and brown dog ticks. Additionally, it also treats and controls lone star ticks(Amblyomma americanum) infestations for one month in dogs and puppies 6 months of age and older.
Furalaner is the active ingredient in Bravecto 1-Month Chew, responsible for its parasiticide activity. It is a potent insecticide and acaricide and kills both fleas and ticks by acting upon their nervous systems. It affects the GABA receptors in the insects' central nervous systems, causing paralysis and death.
